Insomnia

A little insomnia can be welcome
When it's you keeping me up.

I need sleep,
But I can't help but wonder
If you're dreaming of me.

Sitting up,
Wishing my arms were around you
And not the pillow I lay upon.

Listening to country love songs,
Crying out because I need you
To hold me tonight.

Thinking how much I miss you,
Your touch haunts me.
And now I can no longer sleep.

The tears fall so easily
When I think of us together.
I miss you so much.

Every morning is so lonely
When you're not there.
You'd be there every morning if you could.

I imagine our future,
Being together every night,
Just having someone to wake up with.
